Personally, my ROCKETS holiday wish-list would include:

-Some kinda discount for Tripoli members
-Some kinda pricing structure where the cost per issue goes down as you commit to longer subscription periods.
-Some kinda online/digital subscription option, maybe @ $25 per year. Digitizing magazines into can cost about $10 per page. Maybe my firm is a LITTLE larger than Liberty but here's a piece we did & the firm who does it for us: http://www.nxtbook.com/ygsreprints/ygs/BIMProject1/

I know this is a niche hobby & we're not talking about a huge subscription base. But a lot of the content is, I believe, provided gratis by 'amateur' photographers & writers...and there are indeed ads, too. It's a great pub, but it's always been a little steep for me...and being in the magazine biz, the lack of a subscription-term sliding rate scale always bothered me. I'd commit to 2 years @ maybe $4 each.

Here, here!!

I'd subscribe if there was a discounted rate for TRA members. I would also pick the extended subscription option if it were even more discounted.

Charging the full cover price for a magazine subscription, no matter how small the base is, is ridiculous. The fact that TRA chose this option as the "official" magazine makes it that much more ridiculous. In my opinion of course!

One addition to the list would be a more robust shopping cart system for their web site. I thought I might buy some back issues but when the system tried to charge $2.00 for shipping on every single issue I declined to complete the order. Ever hear of Media Mail?? A huge quantity of magazines can be shipped for a few bucks anywhere in the country.
