The launch will occur from Space Launch Complex-37, Cape Canaveral AFS, FL, between 7:33 – 11:33 PM EST. This is second operational flight of the Delta IV Heavy. A successful demonstration flight was flown on Dec. 21, 2004 and the first operational mission was flown Nov. 10, 2007. Delta IV Heavy launches are the most spectacular night launches of an all-liquid-fueled booster since the Apollo era. The Delta IV heavy will liftoff with nearly two million pounds of thrust. This is the 1st launch for ULA in 2009 and will be the 22nd since ULA ’s inception. The webcast is only available to registered users, but registration is easy and free.
