ImageImageWORLD WIDE WEB — On Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at 7:33PM EST, United Launch Alliance will launch an Delta IV Heavy rocket with the National Reconnaissance Office's L-26 mission. Rocketry Planet has made arrangements to broadcast the launch live in one of our chat rooms. The webcast will begin at 7:07PM EST, with a 4 hour launch window opening at 7:33PM EST.

The launch will occur from Space Launch Complex-37, Cape Canaveral AFS, FL, between 7:33 – 11:33 PM EST. This is second operational flight of the Delta IV Heavy. A successful demonstration flight was flown on Dec. 21, 2004 and the first operational mission was flown Nov. 10, 2007. Delta IV Heavy launches are the most spectacular night launches of an all-liquid-fueled booster since the Apollo era. The Delta IV heavy will liftoff with nearly two million pounds of thrust. This is the 1st launch for ULA in 2009 and will be the 22nd since ULA ’s inception.

The webcast is only available to registered users, but registration is easy and free. You must be logged in prior to entering the webcast and you must enter the special ULA Live Webcast link to view the webcast. To enter the webcast, simply click the link below:

It's called repurposed content. And with recent traffic, we'll probably spin a bearing on the server doing the webcast.

Don, You of all people should know computer systems are
powered by small rodents in a running wheel!

Hopefully the weather around here clears up enough for the launch (and
equally important- enough for me to watch from the driveway! )
