SEATTLE, Washington USA — Members of the Ingraham Aerospace Sciences Academy from Ingraham High School in Seattle, Washington, hosted 25 young members of the Latino Achievers Club for a workshop designed and presented by Ingraham TARC Team Project Managers Nat Mote and Patrick Ma to pass on what they have learned about their exciting hobby.

"It was an inspiring example of students teaching students," said Ingraham Rocketry advisor Peter Schurke. "It was a great case of our students taking all their great experiences from the last couple of years and 'paying it forward' to the next generation."

The 3rd through 5th grade boys from Roxhill, Concord, and Beacon Hill Elementary Schools were treated to a day of fun in which each student got to build their very own model rocket while learning how each part works. As Ingraham Rocketry Club members Katy Loubet-Senear and Yelizaveta Minkina took the young boys through each step, the elementary students each got to work closely with a high school student; receiving encouragement and praise when they were able to assemble pieces on their own, or a little help to work their way through steps they found more difficult. After the building was complete, the Ingraham Rocketeers put on a launch of some previously built rockets for a very enthusiastic audience.

"This was the first time in my career that I saw young boys completely engaged for several hours without any type of distracting attitude," said Latino Achievers Club coordinator Guillermo Carvajal. "I knew to expect good work, but not to the high degree of professionalism that the kids and the rest of us received."

"This was an awesome day!" said Ingraham Rocketry Club President and TARC Team Project Manager Julian Picard. "I would love to have all those kids back again for a follow-up session."
