ImageVAN ORIN, Illinois USA — Tim Lehr of Wildman Rocketry is a proud papa!  The Wildman is pleased to announce the latest addition to the Wildman family: the Wildman, Jr., a 2.1" diameter, all-fiberglass rocket that stands nearly five feet tall with three G-10 fins and 38mm motor mount tube.

Specifications:

  • 59 inches tall 2.1 inch diameter
  • Fiberglass booster pre-slotted 2.1 inch diameter 30 inches long
  • Fiberglass payload 2.1 inch diameter 18 inches long
  • Fiberglass coupler/altimeter bay with switch band total length 7.25 inches 
  • Fiberglass motor mount tube 38mm 8.25 long
  • Fiberglass ogive nose cone 5-1 ratio
  • Three 3/32 G-10 fiberglass fins
  • Fiberglass bulk plates (2 coupler bulk plates, 2 regular bulk plates and one nose cone bulk plate)
  • Three plywood centering rings 2.1-1.5
  • Three welded 1/4" eye bolts
  • Three 1/8" quick links
  • Shear pins
  • Plastic rivets

This rocket was designed for everyone from the mild to the wild.  And it will fly on anything from an F motor to the longest 38mm J motor.

This kit is totally modular. You can fly it single deployment or dual deployment, which ever you prefer, by just removing a quick link and moving the parachute and nose cone.

Now if that had been available when I ordered my Little Dog DD curtis would have sold one less kit.

Another great kit for the money from Wildman, You get a fiberglass kit for the price of a paper kit.

Very nice!! I had been wanting to get a Wildman rocket! Now I is getting one! Yeah, a JR, but IT'S A WILDMAN!..LOL

Arg I have to wait, but $99 is still a solid price. Compare to Giant Leap Firestorm 38mm which is around $160.
