Two other teams from Ingraham also were among 100 teams from across the nation that qualified for the competition. Faculty adviser Peter Schurke said only two of the five members of Ingraham's top-placing team, brother and sister Patrick and Kirsten Ma, were able to travel to the contest. Their performance was particularly exceptional, he said, since Kirsten Ma was running a fever all day. Copyright © 2009, The Seattle Times. |
