ImageTHE PLAINS, Virginia USA — A team from Seattle's Ingraham High School finished seventh in the nation Saturday in the Team America Rocketry Challenge, billed as the world's largest model-rocket contest.

Two other teams from Ingraham also were among 100 teams from across the nation that qualified for the competition.

Faculty adviser Peter Schurke said only two of the five members of Ingraham's top-placing team, brother and sister Patrick and Kirsten Ma, were able to travel to the contest. Their performance was particularly exceptional, he said, since Kirsten Ma was running a fever all day.
