TMT announces recertification of 52 Kosdon TRM motors

I am very pleased to announce official paperwork has been received from Dr. Frank Kosdon, as required, in the effort to return his previously certified motors/reloads to the member approved list.
The below listed Kosdon Enterprises, Truly Recyclable Motor (TRM) reloads were submitted and have been verified with archival TMT and NAR S&T documentation and are approved for immediate use by Tripoli members in good standing, and for all rocketry organizations granting reciprocal approval. These motors are certified on an interim basis for one year, ending on 30 June 2010, with full recertification to be granted for each reload kit through comprehensive TMT or NAR S&T empirical testing prior to that date.
Legend for all lines:
Official Name, TMT Designation, Class metric, Case OD, Length, Total NS, Average, BurnTime, Weight
There are a few additional motors to add to this list, but are withheld until further verification can be made of the cert data. If there are any questions about the list or a possible omission/correction, reply off-list.

Am I reading this right? 24mm H motors! Now I see why people loved these motors so much (I wasn't into rocketry yet when Kosdon saw it's gory days... I was less than ten years old).

One really cool thing about the 38mm 640ns case is that you can do a level one and level two with the same motor case. Just buy a different reload, this is great for the person that is on a budget.

Upscaler, you may want to have your Dad check with the local club first. This is an old artilce, and although tmt has extended the interim certification for all 52 Kosdon motors after the 6/30/10 date came and went, no anouncement has been made about any Kosdon motor being retested for certification before or since June 30th, 2010. It would seem that tmt decided to bend the rules and certify them anyway. You may want to read the last sentence of this "Official Statement" again, just to be safe. Apparently they've since change their mind on certification.

Dave at Red Arrow also stocks many of these. I think Ken at Performance is the only one I know of stocking the 24's.
I have the 29/150, 38/390 and the 38/640.
Scott, this reprint has the old cert data on the motors. This was not the latest release from TMT reinstating them in lieu of the retesting done over the last 18 months which coincidentally align with this press release as well.
Anyways, check with your TRA club and make sure they are fine with it at their events. They are not usable at NAR insured events, yet anyways, so be smart and don't fly them there. Don't take advantage of an RSO that is not in tune with current events and certs. If you fly them solo, make sure you are covered by your own insurance of some sort.
