POTTER, New York USA — After a frustrating first day at LDRS 28 in upstate New York, the rocket gods decided to smile on the assembled fliers from all across the country and from around the world. Thursday saw almost one hundred flights made after an extremely slow start, almost all of them in the afternoon.
Flying picked up on Friday as more fliers showed up, the rains held off and the sun started drying out the road into the field, allowing most vehicles to get to the flight line. Everything from A's to N's were flown and the flights ranged from great successes to tremendous failures.

I love the bottle rocket.
A build thread on that would be interesting.
A build thread on that would not only be interesting but REALLY surprising. Ken Zuener is the prefect for Michigan Team 1 and from what I have heard he does not have email and will not get it anytime soon. It's a shame because I would love to know how he put that together as well. Looks like quite a work of art.

I'm waiting for the thread on the fireworks show.
The LOC rocket was awesome, and the sparky flights seem to suffer from ill-formed smoke/speed/sparks ratios because, after all, they are not the original. Poor clones.

In that case someone who knows him should do it for the rest of us.

247 -H143 Pro 38 CTI/AMW Smokey/Black Bear
I just love the pro 38 style motors. And that one is very nice for an L1 flight.
Later that day I used a 261 -H120 RED, same rocket. Another Sweet flight, just a bit higher.
The Rocket is a scrathch build, basic LOC tubing, zipperless with baffel. Modular design so it's ready for Dual deploy the next time I go to CMASS Amesbury.
Built strong but light at 3 lbs. Should be a good utiliy rocket for high pwoer flight, room for a camera ect.
I may not build many high power rockets so I came up with as much of an all in one design as I could.

That's very well thought out and explained. Thanks for the info. Let us know how this design proves out and consider posting more details in a build thread if you get the time.

Photos by Boris (Delta22). Good thing he had his camera, and knows how to use it quite well.
LDRS28 was just wayyy to much fun!

Which motor did you use?
Nice looking rocket and flight pic.
