GAITHERSBURG, Maryland USA — Located in the midst of the sprawling Pawnee National Grasslands near Weld County, Colorado, Northern Colorado Rocketry's Mile High Mayhem launch has become one of the nation's premiere events.

Situated within the 30-by-60 mile area on 193,000 acres of the national park, and under the authority of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, the grasslands features over 96,000 acres of potential recovery area.

With a 20,000 foot standing waiver for the launch site, which sits approximately 6,000 feet above sea level, Mile High Mayhem 2009 features many spectacular flights, including Doug Gerrard's high speed film rocket.
