"I am back from Afghanistan safe and sound and actually have a new timer as well as a 2-stage altimeter in the prototype process," Kosmerchock said in correspondence. Both units were designed while Kosmerchock was in the Marine FOB Camp Leatherneck, which is in the Helmond province in southern Afghanistan. "I was there before and during the elections," Kosmerchock stated, "generally the most violent time." During Kosmerchock's free time, he designed two new electronic devices while hanging out in a tent with 20+ soldiers who performed route clearance on some of the most dangerous routes in southern Afghanistan. XMFT-1 (XAVIEN Multi-Function Timer) XDDA-1 (XAVIEN Dual Deployment Altimeter) As soon as the units are complete, they will be available on the Xavien website for purchase. At press time, pricing was not finalized. XAVIEN |
