ImageTAMPA, FL USA — Randall Ejma, owner of Always Ready Rocketry of Tampa, Florida is proud to announce the release of Blue Tube 2.0, a stronger version of the original Blue Tube that is more resistant to humidity and warping.

Building on the characteristics of what made the original Blue Tube so successful, Always Ready Rocketry and manufacturer Phenix Tube re-engineered Blue Tube to be even better than before.  Based on "VF" or vulcanized fiber paper, the Blue Tube team came up with a new formulation that results in a stronger, more humidity resistant product using a proprietary non-water-based adhesive that carries a Type II water resistance rating.

Blue Tube is highly abrasion resistant, with massive acceleration potential for a spiral wound product, and is able to withstand g-forces that exceed most anything any high power rocket flight can present to it. No glassing necessary, no huge gaps to fill, no prepping, no sanding, no nothing, and most of all, compatible with existing components.

The company is also happy to welcome our new 7.5" diameter Blue Tubes to the family as well as full-length coupler tubes for all sizes.

Blue Tube, What's YOUR rocket made of?

Did anyone ever try blue tube as reloadable motor thermal liner tube?

I'd be surprised if it worked inside the motor. The earlier version of BT that I used for my 38mm L fincan blistered from the motor heat and aerodynamic heating. Granted that was an extreme test for the product, but I don't think I'd try it inside the motor.

Yes, I was given one for an AMW M1900 blue. It worked fine.

I stand corrected. Did it hold up better than phenolic?

I'm not sure what better would be. It didn't have any areas that were burned through. It seemed essentially the same as phenolic.

Used a 4" Blue Tube as a liner for my 114mm O3362 Wimpy Red motor at Balls this year. 6.8 second burn time. It came out of the case in one piece with no burn through. Some discoloration on the nozzle end where it looks like the glue was boiling through.
