#4Re: System Maintenance Window: December 5, 2009 12:30PM EST
The forums will most likely be turned off a few minutes before the maintenance window opens to prevent new registrations and posts from being submitted when the old server is shut off. This will create a more favorable "static" state from which to transfer from. Please do not be concerned when you see the forums closed at that time.

Darrell,
Keep up the good work. Rocketry Planet continues to be my #1 source for rocketry related news and your thoroughness, attention to the details and hands-off approach (minimal censorship) are greatly appreciated.

Is it me or are some stories missing from the front page?
They're all there. What you may be seeing is the random nature of the headline news. If a new story is posted to the front page, it takes precedence in the main spot. After being there 24 hours without another new story being posted, the six front page article will appear randomly each page reload. When another new front page story is posted, that story will take precedence for the next 24 hours. It's a mechanism to keep the front page from turning stale.
No changes, simply hardware.

For all: just waiting on the tech guys to send me the word, then I'll be temporarily closing the forums until it's done.
