AUGUSTA, Georgia USA — In our tenth year of coverage of the high power hobby, Point 39 Productions is proud to announce details of the late September release of their 11th High Power Rocketry video "LDRS-XVIII — High Power In The Heartland" and coverage of their 9th consecutive LDRS National Launch.

To be drawn from nearly 26 hours of footage shot at the event in Argonia, Kansas, the LDRS-XVIII video will feature the full, detailed launch coverage that high-power enthusiast enjoy and expect from Point 39 videos. Fully narrated with hi-fi music and interviews from all the major projects, it's the next best thing to being there!

As in past years, most all featured flights are covered with at least two cameras, providing nice, stable zoomed-in footage of launch, cutting to a dedicated camera to follow the flight path of each vehicle.

Special for this year was the addition of a THIRD video camera called the "PadCam". This particular video camera was placed RIGHT near the pads for the big vehicles, in particular the Mercury-Redstone attempt, the four-M, half-scale Aries, and the N powered V-2. Lots of smoke and flame on these flights, especially the four M motors on the Aries. It was used on a number of the other M-powered flights as well. The footage obtained by this camera of the Mercury-Redstone P-motor cato was unbelievable, and will provide the pyrotechnic expert in all of us plenty of images to decipher just what happened during the most visual five seconds in high-power history.

As mentioned, this third camera is an addition to the two cameras that have been employed for some years now in Point 39 Productions videos, providing the viewer the most comprehensive LDRS coverage available anywhere - guaranteed - or your money back.

Other highlight flights covered include Jim Mitchell's O6000 powered 3/4 scale Nike Smoke; the L and M powered flights of John Ritz's Tetrahedron (a.k.a. Flying Pyramid); Gene Nowacyzk's M-powered Starchaser; Andy Schecter's and Darren Owens' respective upscale Fat Boys on M-power; and Q. T. Wilson's (one of the Original 'Rocket Boys') flight of Miss Riley, plus many more flights.

Also included in the video coverage will be actual on-board footage from the Swagerty Team's TV transmitter rocket which turned in some spectacular footage of the Kansas countryside via M power, as well as on-board footage from the huge Oklahoma V-2 project, powered by an N motor and four K outboards.

And for those still-camera buffs, there will be on-board photographic highlights of the photos obtained by Doug Gerrard from his "My Mind's Eye" M-powered flight. These photos are absolutely stunning, and will no doubtedly be recorded as some of the most spectacular on-board photos ever obtained.

The LDRS-XVIII video will join a long line of Point 39 videos that have provided the most detailed LDRS coverage available anywhere to high-power enthusiasts not only in the US and Canada, but in 14 foreign countries around the globe.

Purchase price of the video, including shipping and handling, is $20.00. Planned release is late September '99. Advance mail orders are currently being accepted.

Point 39 Productions is also happy to announce that this summer marks our 10th year of video coverage of the high power hobby, and our ninth consecutive LDRS video production.
