Tuesday, April 12, 2011

ImagePHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania USA — Loki Research LLC, a provider of certified mid- and high-power rocket motors and motor-making supplies for the research enthusiast announced a change of ownership today, with Scott Kormeier, former Production Manager at Loki Research taking over as president.

There will be a brief shut-down during which time the company will be relocated to Kormeier's home state of Missouri, where production will resume as soon as possible.

"Scott worked at the Loki factory under my guidance for more than a year and really learned the ropes," said Jeff Taylor, Loki Research's founder. "With that experience, he is the perfect candidate to take over the company."

"His intimate knowledge of the company's products, operations, and production methods will ensure that future production will be of the same great quality and performance that our customers have come to expect," Taylor added. "Just as importantly, Scott has the passion and the energy to push this company to greater heights. With the continued support of our loyal customers, I expect Loki Research to grow and prosper for years to come."

Absolutely great news! I was so bummed with the announcement that Loki was closing its doors. We need more manufacturers out there and Loki always had great stuff with good prices. Best of luck to you Scott, you'll do a great job!

They're closed now and will probably reopen when the facility is moved and the paperwork is done. The paperwork will probably be the determining factor (DOT, manufacturing license, etc.).
