Battle Park in Culpeper, Virginia, is returning to its former glory as a Mid-Atlantic epicenter of rocketry activity. Battle Park hosted the Federation of Galaxy Explorers, Battle of the Rockets Competition. The AIAA jumped onboard the educational competition bandwagon and sponsored an exciting high-powered egg lofting challenge. All of the competition flights took place during a three-day high-powered rocket launch in the rolling hills of Virginia. Over an hour of video action and more then 2600 photos on this double DVD set, all in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound. ARG 8/Battle Park 2011 Preview: In 2009, Extreme Rocketry magazine closed its doors after producing 84 issues. Extreme Rocketry may be gone but the good work they have done is not forgotten. ROCKETS Magazine will be making available various Extreme Rocketry videos that were produced in the pre-ROCKETS Magazine timeframe. This is a great opportunity to add some classic rocketry history to your collection. The current collection available includes LDRS 20, LDRS 21, LDRS 22 and the ground pounding BALLS 13 launch. The Extreme Rocketry videos bring back to life some of the rocketry's most impressive flights and most colorful characters that ever installed an igniter in a motor. You feel the vibration in your chest and smell the AP as some of the largest and most complex projects ever built leave top ground on massive trails of fire and smoke. You'll grimace as some of the most beautifully constructed rockets meet their untimely end. Most of all you will witness the projects and attempts that paved the way for high power rocketry in the 21st century. Pricing:
