BREA, California USA — WildRocketry.com would like to announce the opening of their new website on January 8th, 2000. This site is geared towards the higher end of the rocketry spectrum. With the focus being on mid-high power, WildRocketry.com steps into a virtually untapped market. Other related sites on the Internet have traditionally been all encompassing sites hitting all aspects of the rocketry hobby. WildRocketry.com breaks this tradition by focusing on the upper end of the spectrum.

The existing magazines are well done, but the majority of their information is very dated. Even at best, there is at least a five-month lag time between big events and the publication of the magazines. WildRocketry.com's goal is to provide information on regional as well as every club launch as soon as the material is forwarded to the site's editors.

Kerry Garrison, a rocket enthusiast from Southern California, conceived the original concept. Kerry was frustrated with the lack of coverage of large projects, and the delay in getting timely information to the public. With a long history of web site development, Kerry took his idea to fellow rocketeer Carl Delzell. Carl asked to become involved and was made Executive Editor. Together, they have put together a site full of information and useful resources.

"Had it not been for other people in the rocketry hobby, I would not be involved today." Said Kerry Garrison, publisher of WildRocketry.com, "I felt I wanted to give something back to all the people who helped me get my start."

Carl Delzell added, "Some of the best people in the world are the rocketry enthusiasts I have spent time with. I have been looking for a way to promote the hobby, and this is it"

The site features sections on technical articles, rocketry related news, discussion forums, launch reports from clubs around the country, extreme projects, a section called "Big Bad Projects" which details current large Level 2 and Level 3 projects, and a monthly section featuring a Cato-Of-The-Month, a Roc-A-Holic of The Month, and a Vendor Spotlight.

With the connections that both of the founders have, it has been fairly easy to pick up some exciting exclusive stories. One ongoing article is chronicling the background story of the Super "M" Drag 2000 at which a planned seven "M" powered rockets will lift to the sky simultaneously. Never before has this much hardware and propellant gone off together, this plans to be an amazing site.
