MT. CLEMENS, Michigan USA — In a morning press release, Public Missiles, Ltd. announced the early arrival of four new kits. These kits expand their already generous product line with additions to the lower end of their high power offerings.

The kits are:
  • Mini-BBX: This is the 2.1 inch version of their popular Black Brant X, and is specially configured to be able to be used with an optional Terrier Booster Stage to be released this fall.
  • Hydra: 3" combo of retro and modern styling for a very unique kit! 2 large "wing" fins and 4 swept-back fins. 38mm MMT.
  • Intruder: A 3-inch "futuristic cruise missile" kit; unique 5-fin configuration, 9" payload section, 38mm MMT.
  • Matrix: Concept industrial asteroid-killer of the future; 38mm MMT, forward "radiator" canard fins, 6 lower fins.
You'll find additional information on their website under the "What's New" window with all the details, and links to take you right to the webstore page where the kits are located.

They've added the RockSim files for these new kits on the RockSim page, and have included them in a separate ZIP file so you don't have to download the entire RockSim database again if all you need are the new kits. By the way, don't be alarmed or surprised that some of the Matrix and Intruder fins in the RockSim kit drawing don't look the same as the graphic of the kit in the website. RockSim has limitations of a minimum of 3 fins, so on kits that have only 2 fins of a certain size, so they were made as 4 fins of half the size of the actual kit fins. As you'll see, all these kits have plenty of fin area and stability margin, so the RockSim files may look a little different but are very representative overall of the real kits.

PML has also added the new kits to the KitSpecs and Motor Recommendations Chart on the Specs Page of our site, so you'll want to get new copies of those as well, especially the Motor Recommendations Chart. A number of changes has been made recent to the chart, so if you carry one in your range box, make sure you print out a new copy and replace the one you have with this latest version.
