OREM, Utah USA — In an announcement earlier today, Sue McMurray, Chairperson of Tripoli Motor Testing, announces official recognition of two new motor manufacturers: R.A.T.T. Works Precision Rocket Motors and Cesaroni Technologies.
This official recognition signifies that both manufacturers have successfully submitted to TMT all required paperwork to be recognized as a legal manufacturer of hobby rocket motors, including holding the appropriate federal explosives manufacturing permits.
R.A.T.T. Works has been working for some time on a low-cost 29mm hybrid motor as well as a version using a bi-propellant configuration. Cesaroni, on the other hand, has been busy completing the testing and governmental approvals on a line of low-cost 38mm reloadable AP motors. Both still must complete the TMT motor certification process to be approved for retail sale.
The official TMT announcement does clear the way for representatives of both companies to conduct motor demonstration flights at regulat Tripoli Rocketry Association launches, according to guidelines established by the TRA Board of Directors. |
