MT. CLEMENS, Michigan USA — A very exciting day is here: CPR3000 is now available! As you well know, PML is the only company to offer a complete dual-deployment system, not only as components for scratchbuild projects or kit conversions, but also totally integrated into some of our kit line.
We introduced the original CPR system in 1996, and the dramatically-improved CPR2000 in 1998. Now, in 2000, we offer CPR3000, the next generation of great dual-deployment recovery systems.
With CPR3000 we’ve kept the best parts of CPR2000, the simple screw-together assembly and the ability to transfer the altimeter bay/deployment charge assembly from CPR rocket to CPR rocket, saving you time and money. However, we’ve also improved the system dramatically both for "continuous-improvement" items as well as to address customer concerns. Here are some quick highlights of the new CPR3000 (full details are on the CPR3000 Systems page in the webstore). - Anodized 6061 aluminum threaded coupler system; super strong, nearly indestructible!
- O-ring seals for entire system; eliminates sensing pressure leaks and ejection pressure leakage into altimeter bay.
- Ejection charge holder is an integral part of the CPR system; no separate parts to buy.
- System comes standard configured for electric matches for ejection, but flashbulbs can be used if you prefer (with purchase of the optional flashbulb-compatible charge holder).
- System comes with a switch and wiring harness as an integral part of the system.
- CPR3000 comes with altimeter mounts for the Transolve P6 altimeter or the brand new PML-exclusive Co-Pilot altimeter (due to be released in July 2000; we’ll release details on this to you as they become available). With the purchase of optional mounts, the CPR3000 system can be used with Transolve P5 or Adept ALTS-25 altimeters, so if you own a CPR2000 rocket the altimeter you already have is compatible with CPR3000.
- 16 page fully illustrated comprehensive assembly and user manual.
CPR3000 RetroFit Kits for 2.1, 2.5, 3.0 and 3.9" rockets are available for purchase immediately in the CPR3000 page of the webstore. CPR3000 RetroFit kits can be used for a scratchbuild project, or for converting your favorite PML kit for CPR recovery.
By the way, we’ve suspended sales of our CPR2000 kit line pending the re-engineering of those kits for CPR3000. However, for customers who own CPR2000 kits and may need parts in the future, we still offer the CPR2000 components on the CPR2000 page in the webstore (and will continue to do so for quite some time to come). We expect to have the CPR2000 kits released with CPR3000 by mid-July to early August. As newsletter subscribers, you’ll be the first to know when they become available.
Ignitors Now Available from PML
PML is now a dealer for the RocketFlite Magnelite ignitors line. We offer ignitor kits to make ignitors for all motors, from "A" black powder motors all the way up through "M" composites! Check out the Ignitors page in the webstore for more information and to order.
