ImageA new hobby rocketry portal is ready for the universe, or planet, as the case may be.

Rocketry Planet was designed to bring you the latest hobby rocketry information as well as to provide you with a community atmosphere to enjoy lively discussion forums, hobby auctions, instant chat features along with the lastet news and features that you want to see.

Rocketry Planet is aimed at filling the void that some hobbyists may feel are not currently being served as well as deliverying those services in an attractive user experience.

Tad is often seen in the background getting things done. Here he is enjoying his other love - Ham Radio

Rocketry Planet was inspired by an individual named Tad Danley, a high power rocketeer now living in Texas.  I had the pleasure of meeting Tad when he lived in the Atlanta, Georgia area and flew with him at the TARA launches in Perry, Georgia.  Without Tad's inspiration and constant motivation, there would be no Rocketry Planet.

Tad is the kind of person every one of us strives to become.  Soft spoken but standing tall, his positive influence has taught me a thing or two about morality, values and the path to humility.  He is truly a giant among men, but most people don't even know who he is.

Tad is a person who you see in the background but you may never really know him, and that would be a loss.  He's the one doing most of the hard work. I can assure you that if you get the chance to meet him, he will impress you with his outlook on life.

I hope you enjoy Rocketry Planet, and will visit often.  This site is dedicated to the hobby enthusiasts around the world, but more importantly, this site is dedicated to Tad.  He believes in the goodness of people, never kicking someone when they are down and always taking the high road.  It's a lesson we all can learn from.

Enjoy!

Darrell, I am honored and humbled. And as you know, it is you who have inspired me, and many other flyers. I think Pat Gordzelik said it best - I wouldn't even be in this hobby today if it weren't for you! Welcome back - you have been missed!

Oh ... thanks for finding a photo that captured my best side! And, as everyone else has already noted - this portal ROCKS!

Typical k3td modesty!

Tad, I owe you my life right now. You have given me back something I had been missing but couldn't put my finger on — I-N-S-P-I-R-A-T-I-O-N

How do you repay someone for something like that?

My hero...

None Congratulations on your new Website
Nice site Darrell and good luck with it in the future. I understand now why so many people were excited you got back into the hobby and why some people were saying "Oh No".

I seem to have that effect on people, both positive and negative.
