WORLD WIDE WEB — BSD High Power Rocketry is pleased to announce the addition of their new motor retention system to all of their kits.

Each kit now comes standard with two 6-32 Blind Nuts, two 6-32 x 1-1/2" Allen Head Bolts, two BSD motor retention clips, and installation instructions. The system is designed to be installed during initial construction, although it can be retrofitted to an already built model by purchasing some inexpensive 6-32 Threaded Brass Inserts at your local hobby store.

Testing over the last two months has been very successful, therefore the decision was made to include the motor retention system in our entire line of 2.6" and 3.9" kits, at no extra charge to the customer! The BSD Motor Retention System is available separately for $5.99 plus shipping.

The popular Horizon kit has received a new upgrade, as well! In addition to the motor retention hardware, the Horizon now includes parts to assemble the 38 to 29mm Motor Adapter! Retail price has been changed to $84.99, with a sales price of $69.99 on the BSD website, or from BSD dealers. In addition, BSD has re-designed the aft end of the rocket, making it stronger, and less likely to burn since the aft centering ring is now 1/4" away from the end of the airframe, rather than the previous 1". These changes will be incorporated on all new Horizon kit runs.

The BSD 38 to 29mm Motor Adapter is available separately for $5.99 plus shipping, and is in stock and ready to ship!

In the works, BSD is finishing up development of our new 4" Little John kit. Designed with the advanced modeler in mind, the BSD sport-scale Little John is capable of very high altitude flights using up to 54mm motors! This 3.5 lb. rocket is designed specifically to use an electronic altimeter for dual deployment, although it can be flown using motor ejection only. Built-in electronics compartment is large enough to hold any of the currently available electronics, and fully photo-illustrated instructions make your jump to altimeter-based recovery simple and reliable.

The BSD Little John flys on H-J motors, and is capable of flights over 6,000 feet on the 54mm long-burn J motors, such as the J135. The BSD Little John is 51" long, 4" diameter, features a 54mm motor mount, and recommended flying weights are 3 to 7 lbs. The kit does not include parachutes, although recommended sizes are available from BSD. The Little John retails for $99.99, with a selling price of $79.99 directly from BSD or from authorized dealers. Kits are expected to begin shipping by November 1, 2000.
