ALTOONA, Wisconsin USA — The National Association of Rocketry's National Sport Launch is going to be May 26-28, 2001. The NAR holds two national launch events each year: NSL and NARAM.

NARAM is the better known of the two, but it is mostly for contest fliers with a reasonably active sport range. NSL is just the opposite, lots of sport flying, and a few fun contests (nothing official).

This year the NSL will be held in the Western United states, at the Utah Rocket Club's Pony Express Test Range in Tooele County, Utah. There will be wide open spaces, a 10,000' AGL waiver, on site food vendor, on site camping, great vendors and great people. Temperatures are typically mild this time of year and the weather is normally fantastic at the UROC May launch, we expect no difference this year. Our range is huge, so you can expect to see everything from 1/4A through N power.

The NSL website is up and running and pre-registration is open. The website can be found by clicking here.
