WORLD WIDE WEB — Recently The Learning Channel (TLC) began broadcasting an interesting new series dubbed "Junkyard Wars." The idea is for two teams to find items and parts in a junkyard to build a project and then compete in a contest or race.
One of the most recent episodes involved a contest to build a high power rocket. In addition, they were to launch an ostrich egg and recover the egg without breaking it.
If you missed the first contest, Junkyard Wars will be holding a new one between two teams. The object this time is to launch a snow globe and recover it without breaking it. The new episode will be broadcast at the following times: Mar 5 2001 8:00 PM (EST), Mar 5 2001 11:00 PM (EST), and Mar 11 2001 7:00 PM (EST). |
