LAS VEGAS, Nevada USA — RocketSilo announced today the recepients of the 2001 Silo Cadet Sponsorships. The Silo Cadet Program was established to assist clubs and organizations who teach model rocketry as a safe, responsible and enjoyable hobby.
"During December and January, we received thousands of inquiries about the program," said Steve Moore, RocketSilo owner. "We sifted through each one, choosing the ones we thought needed some type of assistance to expand or enhance their club efforts."
Moore explains that the Silo Cadet Program is RocketSilo's way of investing back in the community and to encourage the growth of the hobby. "We chose seven groups that focus specifically on children or young people and have a geographical diversity," Moore added.
The seven recepients of this year's 2001 Silo Cadet Sponsorships are: - Rolling Thunder (Washington)
KCAR (Kansas City) Scout Troop 270 (Florida) Civil Air Patrol (Arizona) Rocketry Library Program (Florida) Republican Valley High School Rocketry Program (Nebraska) Cub Scout Pack 99 (California)
Each club receives significant group discounts on a wide range of items such as, motors, hardware, recovery, ground support and kits.
Congratulations to each group! |
