Click to view - Adobe PDF"A major benefit of Model Rocketry, as a growing and satisfying hobby, is its appeal to so many people.  Some are intrigued by futuristic or Flash Gordon type designs.  Some hard-core contest winners adamantly contend that the "sport" or multi-stage route is the only way to go.  Others—and this represents a rapidly increasing number—are overwhelmingly impressed with the realism and meticulous detail of Centuri Super Scale models."

And so the opening paragraph goes in Centuri's American Rocketeer, Volume 4, Number 1.

The American Rocketeer was a free newsletter published by Centuri "for its customers and friends to further acquaint them with the hobby of model rocketry and the new products now available."  The newsletter was packed with articles, plans, scale data, Centuri's latest products and more.

Part of the challenge we face in the hobby is the archival and preservation of these old sources of information on our hobby. Adobe PDF format makes a great medium for the collection and storage of these types of documents because of its portability and cross-platform approach.
