LAS VEGAS, Nevada USA — RocketSilo, the rocketeer's discount source for all things rocketry unveiled their much anticipated "Silo Project" for LDRS XX today.
The "Silo Project" is a half-scale Patriot, standing almost 9 feet tall! Dubbed, "Philadelphia Freedom", the silo project will launch on an AeroTech K motor out of a 12 foot tall working silo. The launch is tentatively scheduled for dusk on Friday, July 20th at LDRS XX in Lucerne, California.
"We've included a special payload," commented RocketSilo founder Steve Moore. "The rocket will deploy up to 100 rubber balls - each on their own chute. Each ball contains a RocketSilo gift certificate." Once an "all clear" has been sounded by launch officials, kids age 12 to 16 will be allowed to find the rubber balls (limit one per person) and redeem the certificates at RocketSilo.
"The silo project has a two-fold purpose," added Moore. "We are excited to present this project in celebration of LDRS XX but it also will mark the start of a month long celebration of RocketSilo's one year anniversary."
