CARLSBAD, California USA — Now available from the blacksky Corporation is the largest and most capable launch pad available to the consumer, the blacksky ProPad3C. The ProPad3C was originally designed for a US Navy Contract to meet the requirements of an advanced system test program.

Rockets up to 200 kg (440 pounds) can easily be launched with the addition of a pair of blacksky Ultimate Rail Guides. The ProPad3C is debuting at the Delamar, Nevada launch and will be available for all to use at ROCStock and LDRS 20.

The ProPad3C is fabricated from 50mm x 152mm x 6mm wall (2 inches x 6 inches x _ inch wall) 6061 rectangular aluminum tube, 2.5cm (1 inch) 6061 aluminum plate and steel. All aluminum components are either powder coated or anodized.

The ProPad3C is assembled with 3/8 inch – 16 stainless steel hardware using a solid 6061 aluminum coupler at each joint. When deployed, it has a base diameter of 1.4m (4 feet 6 inches). ProPad3C is designed to collapse into a compact, 90 kg (200 pounds) assembly.

ProPad3C comes equipped with 4m (15 feet) of the new blacksky Ultimate Rail with an electric elevation control. The elevation control allows a 90( swing of the Rail from the horizontal loading position to the vertical launch position. The elevation control is entirely self-contained in a heavy-duty plastic field case with built-in float charger, 24v battery supply and hand controller.
