AMHERST, Massachusetts USA — PerfectFlite has added a new altimeter to their line of tiny avionics. The miniAlt25K is a flexible, full function altimeter intended for mid to high power rockets.

Just slightly larger than the diminutive microAlt at 0.85" x 3.68", the new miniAlt sports a greater altitude capability of 25,000' MSL and Mach safe operation. Main chute deployment can be set to occur at 300'AGL to 1700'AGL in 200' steps. Peak altitude is saved in nonvolatile EEPROM memory which is retained even if the battery is depleted before the rocket is retrieved.

The miniAlt25K also features:

  • Rugged surface mount design fits in 24mm tube
  • Mach delay adjustable from 0 to 14 seconds
  • Flexible single/dual battery powering options
  • LDO voltage regulator for improved brownout resistance in single battery configuration
  • Secure screw-down terminal blocks for charges, aux. battery, and power/arming switches
  • Reverse polarity protection on both batteries
  • Up to 17A firing current for ejection charges
  • 24 hours continuous operation on a fresh 9V alkaline battery

Introductory pricing on the miniAlt25K has been set at $79.95 until June 30, 2001.
