GERLACH, Nevada USA — Tripoli Motor Testing (TMT) is back out in the Black Rock Desert testing motors. This time, the larger Kosdon by AeroTech and AeroTech Redline motors are being tested. Three motors were tested on May 20th and the testing will continue throughout Memorial Day weekend.
Motors are usually tested out at the Black Rock Desert in Northern Nevada. They test off the playa in the area known as the Quarry. This area is covered with dunes of crushed rock and other tailings and is remote from spectators, immune to fire and somewhat sheltered.
Sue McMurray is the TMT chairman and the testing team consists of Sue, Chet Geyer, Ed Hackett and Don Milhollan. A big thanks to them is due from all high-power rocketeers! |
