WINDOM, Texas USA -- After facing multiple launch cancellations due to the dry flying season and risk of fires, the Dallas Area Rocket Society has received a waiver from the Fannin County judge allowing the launch in spite of the recent dry period.

Join DARS for NTHP '06 at Windom, Texas on September 16th and 17th! DARS has secured a waiver up to 24,000 feet (coordinate with launch director).

This year's launch will have a special emphasis — HYBRID motors! They'll have two pads dedicated to hybrid flights all weekend.

And anyone who flies hybrids are automatically qualified for the "Highest Hybrid" contest sponsored by Contrail Rockets. Be one of the two highest flights for the weekend and receive a $50 and $25 merchandise gift certificate from the sponsor.

Since it's a high power weekend, they'll have more fun in store! Bring your 38mm bird and enter it in the 38mm Drag Race to be held at noon on Saturday! Any single stage, single motor mount rocket will work. Highest altitude wins, first off the pad can't loose.

And beyond power, there's finesse in the high power Multi-Egg Lofting contest. Put up two to four eggs (bonus factor for more eggs) and keep them up as long as possible without breakage.

First and second place prizes of $25 and $10 gift certificates for both the above contests — so make sure you enter!
