MT CLEMENS, Michigan USA -- PML is having kit photo contest. You’ve seen how PML has the “Click here for a larger picture” link on their kit pages to see photos of the kits? Well, they're now looking for photos of real PML customers with their kits.

What PML is looking for is a person holding or otherwise posing with the rocket. A good, clear launch photo in addition to the static shot would be fantastic. Image quality (good color, lighting, focus, etc) is very important. Also, PML may crop and/or alter the photo (i.e.. color, contrast, sky enhancing, erasing distracting objects, etc.) to fit their needs. So, here’s the few simple rules/requirements:

If the image is digital, or a hardcopy image that you’ve scanned on your own, 150 dpi is minimum resolution; 300 to 600 is much preferred. Large electronic files are not a problem, up to 4 Mb if submitted via e-mail. Send to This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .

Mailing in the photo via US Mail is preferred because PML can scan it themselves to the format they desire. (PML's USPS address is on the Contact Us page of their website).

PML will not return the photograph(s) unless you supply a stamped, self-addressed photo-mailer type envelope with your USPS photo submission.

The back of the picture should have a post-it note with the senders name, address, phone, email address, and short description of the scene (where, when, motor used, etc.). DO NOT write on the back of the picture! (If you submit via email, please include the above information in the email).

PML’s discretion as to what photo(s) is/are used is entirely up to them. Submitting a photo in no way guarantees that it will be used. Full photo credit will be given to the photographer.

The rules are simple...if PML uses the image(s), you win a PML Gift Certificate for $40. (If your photo is chosen, they will send you a standard photographer’s Model Release form that you’ll need to fill out and return giving them formal permission to use the picture).

The crew at PML has seen a lot of your great photos, and now’s your chance to not only be a part of the PML website with your work, but to win some bucks toward your next PML purchase as well. First come, first served, so get those photos in today!
