WORLD WIDE WEB -- To All Tripoli Members

I have just received word that several METRA members live and work in New York City, and many of those work in the Trade Center complex. At this time we do not know of their condition, but surely they will have needs to be addressed.

I have been watching the news and see thousands of people walking home because all forms of mass transportation is unavailable both going in and out of the city. Some who drove in cannot get to their cars. They are walking across the bridges all the way into New Jersey.

Prefect Dennis Lappert has announced the METRA launch, scheduled for this weekend, has been cancelled.

At this time I have established a "Tripoli METRA Disaster Relief" fund to assist METRA members and their families. I will work closely with the Prefects in the area to assess those needs and to aid in distributing funds for food, clothing or other necessary items.

Many will be without jobs, therefore without an income, until order has been reestablished from chaos. I call upon Tripoli members everywhere to contribute and to contribute generously. Funds will be gathered by Tripoli HQ and distributed according to immediate need.

If you contribute by regular mail, send your contributions to:

TRA METRA Disaster Relief
P.O. Box 970010

Contributions by FedEx, UPS, or similar express carriers should be sent to:

Let's always be careful to look after our own. It is difficult to imagine
the mental and physical suffering the survivors are going through. Any
assistance, great or small, will be appreciated.
