VENTURA, California USA -- Frank Kosdon is pleased to announce the commencement of his monthly PERCHLORATHON™ launches at Lucerne Dry Lake on the second Saturday of the month although some launches may be longer than one day.

The location will be to the southwest of the normal ROC site. An FAA waiver has been issued (in Frank Kosdon's name) which permits flights of heavier than three pound rockets to altitudes of 9000' above mean sea level, or approximately 6,000' above ground level (this also includes rockets lighter than three pounds). Frank Kosdon has a valid CA Fire Marshal Rocket 2 Pyro Ops License.

Initially this is a 'no frills' launch. You must bring your own launch equipment. There are no fees to attend. The launch is limited to 50 cars to avoid the necessity of getting a BLM permit (the BLM was contacted and stated that a permit was not necessary for an event at which there are less than 50 cars and money is not collected).

NOTE: This is not Tripoli or NAR sanctioned. You may fly what you want as long as it is done in a safe manner (no fireworks please). Direct any questions to Frank Kosdon at 805-642-1559.
