WORLD WIDE WEB — The R.A.T.T.works is proud to announce we have aerospace quality 1/2" by 6 foot long stainless steel launch rods. The rods are manufactured by Monterey Machine Products, an aerospace parts manufacturer who has fabricated parts for aircraft and aerospace industry since 1953.

Made out of 302 condition B stainless steel which is cold worked to a hardness of over 130ksi, it gives exceptional strength, stiffness and corrosion resistance.

The OD is centerless ground down to .490" diameter to allow for easy insertion into 1/2" ID diameter launch lugs. The 6 foot rod breaks down into 2 pieces 3 foot long, one side is beveled and radiused for safety and non-marring of your rocket, the other side is internally threaded by cold forming, which gives added strength and closer tolerance. Both pieces thread together, and come with a protective nylon web.

They are available now from R.A.T.T.works for $39.95 +$5 shipping. There is also 2 foot extensions available for $20 each, threaded on both ends which fits in between the 3 foot pieces to increase total rod length.
