GLENDALE, Arizona USA — She's done it again! Hobby rocketry's hottest commodity is proud to announce the release of the ultimate 1/24 scale Gemini-Titan flying model rocket kit. Standing over 4 feet tall, the kit is a scale builder's dream. If you wanted a mid-to-high power Gemini, this is it.
True to design, Sheri's Hot Rockets' Gemini-Titan kit features a dual 29mm motor mount configuration, allowing for flights of 550-600 feet above the ground using two AeroTech G80-4T motors. The ability to fly this rocket on industry-standard G impulse motors combined with the relatively low altitude flights makes this an excellent kit to use for demonstration flights.
To add to the scale pleasure, this kit features beautifully detailed real aluminum nozzles! The aluminum nozzles also add another unique benefit: they are designed to stay on during flight and act as a positive motor retention system. Combined with the excellent detailing features in and around the motor mount area, this makes the best Gemini-Titan flying model rocket kit ever produced. As an added bonus, for that final detailing touch, the model is compatible with the RealSpace Models 1/24 scale Gemini's and allow for the use of the RealSpace Models Gemini Detail Kit to add those adapter section RCS details. Kit features include: - 2-piece solid-resin capsule
- 1/8 inch thick-walled heavy-duty main body tube
- Pre-cut heavy-duty glassine 29mm motor mount tubes
- 1/4 inch CNC-cut Birch plywood centering rings
- 1/8 inch CNC-cut clear LEXAN® fins that simply slide in and bolt on
- Light-weight custom machined aluminum nozzles
- Large vinyl wrap for main body graphics
- Water-slide decals for the Gemini capsule
- Full-sized plans and comprehensive construction and flight manual
- Proven design with numerous hours of designing and flight testing
- Designed to fly on motors that need no federal permit to launch
- Overall height is nearly 53 inches
The kit does not come with a recovery system, so the builder will need to supply their own. Recommended recovery calls for two 55-60 inch parachutes, and the construction manual lists economical sources should the builder need them.
