WORLD WIDE WEB -- Ye Olde Rocket Shoppe has re-opened at a brand new site. After sitting dormant for almost two years, YORS has been re-tooled from the ground up.

Gone is the old auction system that was run manually by the webmaster. In its place is a new auction program that is fully automated. It has most of the features of mainstream auction sites such as eBay, but for now, there is NO COST to the sellers!

Along with the rocketry auctions, people can now get their own free This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it  webmail address. The webmail system is similar to another rocket related webmail site that many people are familiar with.

Rocketry forums will be implemented within the next week or two. The forums will be dedicated to the BAR and rocketry collectors out there. They're not looking to re-hash forums found on other sites, but instead, focus on cloning and collecting.

YORS now has the updated Estes Kit List online for all to use as a reference. It covers all the kits made from 1961-2002. You'll find the new version to be easier to read now that it's in PDF format. The Starter Kits have been separated from the original list and have their own list now.

When asked why he re-opened YORS, the owner, Scott D. Hansen stated, "Besides the fact that I have a TON of rocket goodies of my own to offer for sale, I wanted to be able to provide a convenient, feature laden rocketry auction site for others to use as well.

"One of the many complaints I've heard from people about the other free auction sites is that they offer no support to the buyer or seller. YORS will offer full support to anyone that emails me with questions or concerns.

"I also wanted to put together a site dedicated to the BAR/Collector out there. Even though the emphasis is on rocketry collectibles, we support all rocketry related items for sale on the site. My goal is to offer the rocketeer everything they need to be able to re-create the rockets they flew as kids. Whether they want to buy originals off of the auction site, or purchase the parts needed to clone them.

"I'm looking to phase in the rocket parts aspect of YORS over the next few months. I've had many well known rocketry collectors looking over the site as I was developing it. They're all excited that YORS is coming back from the grave.

"I got input from them on the layout and features of the auction to provide you with the best buying and selling experience. I've just put over 20 items up on the site to get things rolling. Come on over and check us out today as we work towards becoming the premier rocketry auction site on the web!"
