COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado USA — Apogee Components, Inc. is pleased to announce a new web site devoted to the users of the rocket design and simulation program called “RockSim.”
This new “FREE” web site enables people to share their rocket designs with others. It allows users to both upload their own designs to the database, as well as download designs and databases of other users. This is done with a simple to use interface that does not require any ftp programs or skills beyond the basic internet browsing techniques. The new web site is now online at: http://www.ApogeeRockets.com/rocksim Since this site has just been implemented, we are asking current users to upload designs that have already completed. If there are any photos of the constructed rocket designs available on the internet, we ask that people also place the URL of the photos in the appropriate field of the upload dialog box. Apogee also asks users to place a hypertext link from their own web sites to the new library page, so that others can share in the excitement of the RockSim program. RockSim is one of the most advanced rocket design and simulation programs available today. It is gaining popularity among the most serious modelers because it is both fast-and-easy to use, and it allows accurate prediction of the stability and flight performance of very unusual rocket configurations. A free demo version and a complete description of the program is also available from the Apogee Components web site for people who would like to try it out before purchasing the software.
