LAS VEGAS, Nevada USA — AeroTech is pleased to announce that the following nine RMS model rocket reload kits are now certified by the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) effective September 1, 1998. Formerly certified by the California State Fire Marshall (CSFM) for use only in the state of California, these reloads may now be sold nationwide for use by hobby rocket enthusiasts.
For the RMS 24mm 'D, E, F' Model Rocket Motor: D9-4W, D9-7W, and F12-5J. For the RMS 29mm 'E, F, G' Model Rocket Motor: E23-5T, E23-8T, F22-7J, F52-5T, F52-8T and F52-11T. NAR contest use of these nine model rocket reload kits by NAR members will be possible starting October 31, 1998. AeroTech also wishes to point out that the RMS 24mm F24-10W and RMS 29mm E23-11T reload kits were discontinued effective July 1, 1998 and that the RMS 24mm E11-5J has also been discontinued effective September 1, 1998. If you have any E11-5J, F24-10W, or E23-11T reload kits and wish to "upgrade" them to a certified delay, simply call AeroTech at (702) 641-2301 and we will be happy to provide you with a certified delay and delay spacer combination for your reload kit(s). The modification of a reload kit's delay is allowable under National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) codes as long as it is done in accordance with AeroTech's recommendations.
