LUNAR EXPRESS:

PML has taken rocketry back to the future with this kit! Based on the rockets of 1950's SciFi movies, here's the Lunar Express! With it's big fin "wings" and tail, landing pods, and retro styling, this is one great-looking bird. First shown to the world at LDRS-17 and NARAM-40, this kit has all the great features you've come to expect from PML. Complete with cockpit and passenger window decals, as well as tail numbers. Introducing the PML Positive Motor Retention System. The supplied brass threaded inserts screw into holes you drill in your rocket’s centering ring, and stay with the rocket. Then, the laser cut stainless steel Tripod motor retainer slips over the motor’s nozzle section. Install the 3 socket head bolts with the provided wrench into the threaded brass inserts, and that motor’s in until YOU decide it’s coming out! No more worries about friction fitting with masking tape, and no more expensive “kicked” reload casings. Available for 29/38mm motors and for 54mm motors; extra brass inserts available separately to equip all your rockets with the PMR System. PARACHUTE UPGRADES:

PML chutes are sized for Midwestern and Eastern flying, as opposed to the open areas and hard landing surfaces of many Western sites. We size our chutes for minimal drift for smaller landing sites, while still allowing a safe descent rate into the grassy areas prevalent in the Midwest and East. However, if you're flying in Western areas where drift is not as much a concern and where landing areas are harder (such as desert playa), or if you 're flying from high-elevation launch sites with lower-density air, we can upsize the chute in your kit. Upgrade pricing will vary depending upon the base and upgrade chute. As always, just ask when you order...PML will work with you on anything you'd like to do, kit or scratchbuild. Pricing varies.
