Four new Propulsion Polymers hybrid motors certified |

SMITHS FALLS, Ontario CAN -- Marcus Leech, owner of Propulsion Polymers, reports today that four different configurations of the 38mm hybrid motor series have recently been certified by Motor Certification Committee of the Canadian Association of Rocketry.
Following testing at the CAR eastern testing facility, the following motor configurations have been certified:
240NS H70 (17.50" casing, 1/8" injector) 460NS I80 (24.75" casing, 1/8" injector) 490NS I160 (24.75" casing, 3/16" injector) 670NS J140 (34.00" casiig, 3/16" injector)
The motors were certified using Propulsion Polymers new non-pyrotechnic ignition system, featuring Hy-light hybrid motor ignitors. Flight costs on these motor systems (assuming N2O at US$5.00/lb) range from US$0.03/NS to US$0.07/NS.
Customers can expect announcements for both 54mm and 22mm hybrid systems in the coming months. |
